The Panel Begins

Leanne Aguillera of Entertainment Tonight introduced the cast of Supergirl including Katie McGrath, David Harewood, Melissa Benoist, Jeremy Jordan, Mehcad Brooks, Chris Wood, and new cast member Odette Annabelle who is playing Reign. Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner, new showrunners, were also on the panel.

“The scale is weighing heavily on Supergirl,” said Benoist, that she’s feeling the effects of sending Mon El into “a chasm in space.” She added that Alex Danvers wouldn’t not let Kara lean on her.

“The theme of Season 2 wasโ€ฆ can Kara really have it all? The theme of Season 3 is ‘what does it mean to be human?’”

Queller teased Adrian Pasdar’s introduction on the show. Emma Tremblay is playing Ruby. And the villain Said

They reiterated the news that Cat Grant will be in the season premiere and that Calista Flockhart.

Annabelle spoke about Reign, saying that she left Krypton and is now on earth. “She has a very specific agenda. She doesn’t want to kill everyone she sees, she also doesn’t want to rule the earth.”

The panel confirmed that James Olsen will have a bigger part of team supergirl and will get a new love interest. He’s going back to CatCo, harkening back to Jimmy Olsen’s character, as well as continuing in the Guardian role.

“Hi, I’m here, I’m not in space,” Wood said, referring to Mon El’s fate in the show. “He was in a pod and it was in space,” he said, being cagey.

Rovner chimed in confirming that Mon El will have a role to play moving forward. Wood joked about fulfilling the new role of Supergirl.

Benoist and Wood spoke about their characters’ potential to reunite, and that the circumstances of Mon El’s return would dictate that potential.

McGrath spoke about her love of the friendship between Lena and Supergirl, but that Lena might be disappointed in learning that Kara is Supergirl. Not because

Fan Q&A

A group of fans all dressed as the Girl of Steel asked if Kara will go a season without a love interest. Benoist said that Kara is in a place where she only trusts herself and will continue on that path for a good chunk of the season.

Fans asked if we’ll see anymore of Superman as a sidekick. The showrunners said they love Tyler Hoechlin, but that they have no immediate plans in the future for the character.

Asked what they want to see in the future,ย Harewood wants his character to get drunk while Benoistย wants to see Supergirlย get a puppy.

Annabelle said that she wants to see an epic showdown between Reign and Supergirl, andย Wood said he wants to see Winn and Mon El take a nap together. With that, the panel ended.
