During the episode, fans watched as Naruto and friends visited Ichiraku Ramen the night before he became Konoha’s Hokage. The night out left Naruto plastered, but it did give fans an opportunity to look at the fan-favorite ramen stall. And, in one brief scene, fans can see that Naruto’s wife managed to destroy him in an eating contest.

That’s right; Hinata Hyuga can best Naruto when it comes to slurping noodles. Who would have thought?

A framed photograph of Hinata was seen hanging in the stall which honored her eating record. The girl managed to polished off 46 bowls of ramen, and Hinata doesn’t even look worn out by the accomplishment.

If these scene seems familiar to you, then it’s because Naruto has held such a contest before. A previous OVA titled Naruto Shippuden Ninja Champion Eating Contest saw several famous ninjas compete to eat the most ramen. Guys like Shino and Sai dropped like flies, but Naruto did well with 31 bowls. Hinata did outdo the hero with 46 bowls, and it looks like that one-up has now become canon.

Obviously, Kushina would be proud of her daughter-in-law. The two ninjas would have eaten Ichiraku out of all it owned.
