My Hero Academia started off this season by introducing us to the man who may solidify Midoriya’s place as the new “Symbol of Peace”. Though Nighteye at first was hesitant to allow Deku to join his agency, not believing him to be worthy of All Might’s One For All Quirk, Izuku quickly proved himself by completing one of Sir’s amazingly difficult challenges. With Midoriya earning a new level of respect from Nighteye, Sir welcomes him to his agency where he teams up with Lemillion of the Big Three against the terror that is Overhaul.

With Sir Nighteye joining in the fight against the head of the Yakuza, he is impaled by a piece of debris that Overhaul fires his way, lodging its way into his upper torso. Once Overhaul is defeated, Nighteye is taken to the hospital to tend to his wounds, with the heroes assembling to see how he’s doing. Unfortunately, the answer they find is that Nighteye is not doing well and fans of My Hero Academia are not taking the finale of this episode well as the Overhaul arc concludes.
