According to a new interview on TV Guide‘s website, the actress wouldn’t be opposed to returning for the rebooted NBC series, but doesn’t believe her current commitment to TNT’s Legends would allow it.
“No,” Larter said flatly when asked whether she would reprise any of her roles from Heroes. “At this point, I think I’ve heard that Jack [Coleman] is coming back, but I’m committed to Legends. I’m on series, so I don’t have the time to work on another project. Not that I didn’t love Heroes and loved working on it, but I’m just at a different stage of my life. I’m super excited and proud to be a part of this show and working with Sean Bean and an incredible cast.”

She did concede that, at least in theory, she could be granted permission to pursue Heroes if she was asked — but that at this point she doesn’t expect either to happen.

“It could be possible if [Legends] would let me. It’s like the studio system from back in the day. They own me now, so they tell me what I can and can’t do.”

Milo Ventimiglia, who played Peter Petrelli in the series, has said that he won’t be back and Zachary Quinto, who played recurring big bad Sylar, has stopped just short of saying absolutely not. The only original cast member currently confirmed to return is Jack Coleman, who played “the man with the horn-rimmed glasses.” Hayden Panettiere, who played his daughter, has not been asked back.

Heroes Reborn is expected to debut in 2015 on NBC. Original series producers Jeph Loeb and Bryan Fuller are busy doing Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hannibal, respectively, and won’t be back but creator Tim Kring is once again running the show.
