If you’re a huge fan of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and you’ll be in the Chicago area from May 20-22, you’ll want to call in sick so that you can participate in Ferris Fest.
It’s a three-day event being held to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the iconic ’80s film, which was written and directed by John Hughes and starred Matthew Broderick, Mia Sara and Alan Ruck. Organizers have planned lots of fun activities, such as a special screening of the film, a recreation of the “Twist and Shout” parade sequence, a meticulous recreation of Ferris Bueller’s bedroom, and a bus tour to filming locations: Cameron’s house, Glenbrook North High School, Art Institute of Chicago, and Willis (aka Sears) Tower.
