Maggie and Glenn are one of The Walking Dead‘s beacons of hope. The two have endured a great deal of heartbreak and terror to this point in the series, it is hard to imagine either going on without the other.

Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie, believes that if Maggie were to lose her husband she would find a way to survive, much like she has following the loss of her entire family. “We have to keep going no matter what,” Cohan told ET after being asked about continuing without Glenn. “I think what’s happened is this sense that you aren’t just living for yourself anymore — you’re living for the people around you. I don’t think she thought she could survive it after she lost Beth, but something higher — her God of whatever demonization — is just something that keeps her going and I think that’s the human desire to survive. But I really hope we don’t have to answer that question this year.”
Danger may be closeby for Glenn, though. Comic book fans understand the target on Glenn’s back as the series continues to parallel the pages and is rapidly approaching the infamous issue #100.
The Walking Dead airs Sunday at 9 PM ET on AMC.
