When you are a kid, the world can be a big and scary place, so it’s a good thing that superheroes are around to keep you safe. Whether you are actually little or just a kid at heart, looking up to role models like Wonder Woman or Superman can make you think anything is possible. For one family, it looks like the latter hero is their son’s biggest hero, and you will be left cooing after you see the boy and his reaction to Superman taking flight.

Over on Twitter, @LegolasWayne shared a short clip of a toddler and his father watching one of the best scenes from Man of Steel. Sitting in his dad’s lap, the boy can be seen looking at Superman with rapt attention as the Kryptonian prepares to take flight. Once the hero is in the air, the boy begins giggling in joy and lifting up his hands as if he were flying like Superman can.

Seriously, it’s almost too cute to handle.

For plenty of fans, watching this little boy’s reaction to Superman takes them back to how they felt when they first learned of superheroes. Guys like Clark Kent and Steve Rogers embodied the best of humanity, and kids thought it was beyond cool that theses guys could fight the battles us regular folk never could.

With more superhero films slated to debut in the coming year, even more children will be able to have moments like this with their parents. Boys and girls will have the chance to watch Spider-Man web across New York or see Wonder Woman take on World War I with her effortless class. Justice League may be a bit too dark for younger kids, but the ensemble flick will introduce older fans to the consequences of heroism and the responsibilities it brings.

But, for now, everyone can just take a moment to relax and think back on the days when seeing Superman fly made them feel like this kid.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroesโ€”Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flashโ€”it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
