There was a time when DC Comics’ Joker was easily the most recognizable clown at movie theaters, but Stephen King’s It may have changed that for good.

But why should fans have to choose when they can have the best of both clowns? That seems to be what popular artist BossLogic had in mind with his latest piece, which combines Bill Skarsgard’s terrifying Pennywise from It with Jared Leto’s sinister Joker from Suicide Squad.

In a recent interview, Skarsgard compared Pennywise to a different Joker, that of Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight, and stated that he believed Pennywise to be a more realistic character than Ledger’s anarchic Joker.
Since premiering on September 8th, It has set several box office records, blowing away initial projections of a $60-75 million opening weekend by opening to $123 million, making It one of the biggest openings of 2017. The film has grossed $255 worldwide so far.
The film is also now the highest-opening for a September movie ever and the second-highest opening for an R-Rated movie, behind Deadpool.
Jared Leto made his debut as the Joker in last year’s Suicide Squad and is expected to reprise his role for the DC Extended Universe in The Batman, Suicide Squad 2, Gotham City Sirens, and the still-untitled Joker and Harley Quinn movie.
Warner Bros. also has plans to produce a standalone Joker origin story movie. The film will not be a part of the DC Extended Universe and will not star Jared Leto in the title role. Martin Scorcese is involved as a producer and Todd Philips will direct.
Suicide Squad currently has a 56.40 ComicBook.com Composite score, the seventh-eighth highest ComicBook.com Composite Score among comic book movies. The film also has a 3.70 out of 5 ComicBook.com User Rating, ranking it forty-first by ComicBook.com User Rating among all comic book movies.
