The Batman has already swapped directors, but fans are hoping that its Deathstroke stays intact.

After Ben Affleck was replaced by Matt Reeves as director of The Batman, and it was reported that the original script was tossed, everyone began to worry that Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke would be removed from the situation. The actor was cast as the popular villain while Affleck was still in charge.

When speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Manganiello was asked about his futrue as Deathstroke, and he didn't fill fans with much confidence.

The interviewer asked if he had any information about the role and Manganiello kept his mouth fairly shut.

"I don't. Well, I do but nothing that I can share. I know everything but I can't say any of it." When asked whether that was said in a happy or downtrodden way, the actor replied, "I'm shooting for a neutral tone."

In an attempt to dig a little deeper, the interviewer asked Manganiello when we could all find out about his future in Gotham City.

"It's not up to me. That's a good question for Warner Bros. and DC."

It looks like it's all in the studio's hands now, and we're all hoping they'll find a way to keep Deathstroke around.
