For most of the show's first season, DC's Legends of Tomorrow remained in the 20th and 21st Centuries (except a few moves to Ancient Egypt to explore the origin stories of Hawkman, Hawkgirl, and Vandal Savage). It seems as though that's not going to happen in Season Two of the time-travel drama.
...By quite a bit, in fact: it seems the show will be heading to feudal Japan at a point fairly early in the season.
You can check out the photo, which shows Brandon Routh -- who plays The Atom -- wearing a samurai helmet and riding (in his armor) on a horse. This isn't the first time we've seen Routh looking a little...different...in a behind-the-scenes photo. The one-time Superman was also seen with wild hair and a beard.

Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 will find the team looking for a new purpose now that Vandal Savage, the Season 1 villain, has been defeated. The season is also set to be the live-action television debut of several members of the Justice Society of America, DC Comics' senior superhero team, including Dr. Mid-Nite, Stargirl, Commander Steel, and Vixen, as well as the villainous Legion of Doom, made up of Reverse-Flash, Merlyn, Damien Darhk, and Captain Cold.
DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 premieres Thursday, October 13 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
