It can take a small army to bring a massive blockbuster to life, and Hollywood has a stockpile of studios willing to supply boots on the ground. From films like Wonder Woman, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. must bring in a slew of producers to help manage the film and its big-budget potential. Companies like RatPac Entertainment and Atlas Entertainment were brought on to help the DC Comics’ icon usher in her first live-action solo feature. And, now, one of the higher-ups from the former production studio is saying Wonder Woman will be unlike any superhero film before it.

Speaking to ComicBook.com, Curt Kanimodo took time to detail the compassionate hero’s journey Diana embarks on in Wonder Woman.

“We’ve never had a female lead for one of these comic book movies, and I think there’s no other better film to do it than with Wonder Woman. She has such a rich history and such a great story of compassion and humanity,” he said.

“We get to really see her hero’s journey, her true hero’s journey, coming to what we get to see in Batman V Superman, which we get just a very, very faint glimpse there,” Kanimodo explained. “She’s already established in that film, and we just get to understand her rich history and why she is the way she is in that film.”

Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
