If there are two people whose bad sides you should avoid, they would be Batman and Superman. The DC Comics icons have been around for decades, and they have not always been each other’s side. While many know the relationship between Batman and Superman is usually on an up-swing, the duo have not always been so buddy-buddy. This year, moviegoers saw just what happens when Batman decides he’s had enough of Superman and his shenanigans. But, by the movie’s end, the two have reached a sort of understanding.

Now, one fan has noticed a particularly touching easter egg in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice that nods to the heroes’ friendship. Be warned; You must be able to read upside-down to catch it.

By the end of the movie, fans are left with a grieving nation following Superman’s death. The Kryptonian hero died bringing down Lux Luthor’s Doomsday, and Batman was one of the first to mourn the unexpected loss with Lois Lane. During the film’s final scenes, fans are shown a montage of citizens reacting to the movie’s climatic battle sequence, and Perry White is shown reading a newspaper. The new issue of the Daily Planet will cover the events leading up to Superman’s death, but one Reddit user noticed a special headline.

Abhinav_47 posted a picture of the issue and highlighted a headline which reads, “Batman Befriends Superman Near End.” Of course, the two did just that in the movie. After trying to kill Superman, Batman turns face once the two men bond over their love of mothers named Martha and their mutual hatred for Lex Luthor.

In true comic book fashion, Superman will not stay dead for long. The hero is slated to appear in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, and Cavill has said Batman and Superman will explore their complex partnership more next year.

“There’s pretty much an argument between him and Batman as to who is the leader,” Cavill teased.

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

Directed by Zack Snyder, the film features Oscar-winner Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Henry Cavill (The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) as Superman/Clark Kent and also stars Oscar nominees Amy Adams (American Hustle, Man of Steel) as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network) as Lex Luthor, Diane Lane (Unfaithful, Man of Steel) as Martha Kent, and Laurence Fishburne (What’s Love Got to Do with It, Man of Steel) as Perry White; Oscar winners Jeremy Irons (Reversal of Fortune) as Alfred, and Holly Hunter (The Piano) as Senator Finch; and Gal Gadot (the Fast and Furious films) as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince.
