Like with Killgrave (portrayed by David Tennant) in Marvel’s Jessica Jones, the power that Jesse Custer possesses requires him to choose his words extremely carefully or people can get hurt. However, Jesse hasn’t learned that lesson yet. As you saw in Sunday’s “Sundowner” episode, during Jesse’s argument with Eugene, the preacher let his emotions get the best of him, causing him to send the disfigured teenager to Hell by mistake.
