Now that Supergirl has made the move to The CW, the network has promised multiple crossovers within the Flarrowverse, including a musical team-up episode with Kara Danvers and Barry Allen.

In the first Supergirl / The Flash crossover last season, Barry Allen accidentally hopped into a different dimension landing himself in National City. This left us wondering how exactly these promised crossovers would work because Supergirl was already established as not existing on the same plane.
In a recent interview with EW, Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg explained how the jump will work:
“Not for her entire world, but Kara will be traveling from her dimension to our dimension, “our” being the world that The Flash, Arrow, and Legends lives in.”
So, it doesn’t seem like anyone other than Barry Allen will be visiting National City anytime soon, at least not for Supergirl season two. Instead, we’ll be looking forward to seeing Supergirl crossover to Central City, Starling City, and whatever year Legends of Tomorrow may be in at the time.
The 1940s with the Justice Society of America? Now, that would be confusing.
This does tell us that Barry has to mess with alternate timelines again (which he is already doing in Flashpoint) in order for Kara to get to the Flarrowverse in the first place. Or maybe another huge event will take place like when the black hole opened up and almost destroyed Central City, giving Zoom access to Barry’s world from Earth-2.
Either way, it’s going to be a good time especially with Superhero Fight Club!
Supergirl returns Monday at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
