Last week’s episode, “Mixed Signals”, saw Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Iris West (Candice Patton) dealing with their “new normal” following Barry’s return from the speed force. Iris explained that Barry doesn’t have to face his battles alone anymore, especially after asking Iris to marry him. As she put it, “You are not The Flash, Barry. We are.”
As one would expect, the Internet — particularly The Flash‘s subreddit — gravitated towards that particular line, with a wide array of results. Admittedly, some of the memes were a little too mean-spirited, which absolutely is not the intention of this slideshow. (Especially considering the fact that Barry has said the same exact sentiment as Iris since Season One.)
But some of the “We Are The Flash” memes were just in good fun, and contained plenty of pop culture references along the way. Here are a few of our favorites.
