Twitter Data recently revealed the five most popular ‘Summer Blockbusters’ amongst Twitter users, between late May and late August. Wonder Woman took the top spot, to the delight of many DC Comics fans.

The top five list was pretty heavily populated with superhero movies, with Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming taking the third spot. Interestingly, fellow DC Extended Universe film Justice League ended up number four on the list, despite not actually debuting until November. But with Justice League being one of the most-anticipated – and speculated about – movies to debut this year, it makes sense that it would make its way to this list.

Wonder Woman‘s success has already been felt across the pop culture landscape. The film has earned over $800 million at the worldwide box office, helping it become the most successful superhero origin film. And with Wonder Woman 2 set for a 2019 release date, it’s safe to say people will be talking about the DC heroine a lot more.

Wonder Woman has an 86.52 ComicBook.com Composite Score and a 4.33 out of 5 ComicBook.com User Rating, making it the fourth-highest ranked comic book movie of all time among ComicBook.com readers.
