What’s Left In The 2017 League Of Legends Leaks?

A couple of months ago, two big leaks, one seemingly more accurate than the other, came out related to future League of Legends content. While many leaks seem dubious in their claims and some are based purely off of speculation, this leak held some water as players soon started realizing that some of the items included in the list might very well be a possibility. Beginning with a few teasers of upcoming content from Riot Games, players began referring back to the list and putting two and two together to see what they could expect from the leak in the future.

Within the first main leak โ€” the one that’s been the most credible of the two so far โ€” several of the items that were listed have already been revealed, some of them even already live in-game. The details of a couple of different components of the list, such as names of skins, have been a bit off, but the overall concepts have been fairly accurate.

With much of the first leak list crossed out already and still more content to possibly be released, here’s the list of what has already been confirmed and what we can still expect.

The Reworks

Only four reworks were listed within the main leak, but considering how long it takes to update and reimagine a champion’s kit, four reworks is plenty to be hopeful for.

The four champions that were supposedly going to be reworked were Maokai, Urgot, Evelynn, and Zac. Some of these reworks were described as being more in-depth than others from the brief teaser that was provided in the leak while others would have just one or two abilities reworked. We’ve already seen the results of Maokai’s changes that brought about his new ultimate and the brief terror that was AP support Maokai, and while Zac’sย new Q being described as an ability that can “grab 2 different enemies and slam them together (like Spiderman),” some players were doubtful, but that’s exactly what we got. Urgot’sย was fairly accurate as well, but all that remains to be seen is Eve’s.

Though her modernization has been confirmed, the details have not. The leak described her rework as the champ being “nearly naked, moving shadows for clothes, 2 tentacles on her back” with a “new stealth visual mechanic.” With Urgotย revealed, the shadowy junglerย is next on the list, so we’ll soon see if this short description holds up.

The Champions

One of the first giveaways that the leak might actually be reliable came in the form of a new champion release, or in this case, two new champion releases.

“The Harpy and the Phoenix. Duo champion โ€” can play one without the other,” the leak read at the bottom of the list.

The two champions were also designated accurately as the female being a marksman and the male being a support as well as being humanoid birds. Not long at all after the leak emerged on Reddit, a teaser was posted to theย League of Legendsย facebook page that resembled exactly what the leak’s description was hinting at, and we later got Xayahย and Rakan.

In another leak that followed the first and was speculated by some to be an imitation of the first one’s success, another champion called Nayuta was teased. This champion was supposed to be an Ionian monk who could be a mid laner or a junglerย and utilized storm powers, but the leak said that the champion would without question be in Patch 7.12, a patch that came and went without any indication of the champion and dented the second leak’s credibility.

The Skins

The most extensive of the categories that were listed within the leak, the skins that were supposedly coming were very attractive options that many hoped, but doubted, would be released and sold soon. However, many of them have been knocked off already, so there’s still hope that the others will follow. Below is the full list skins that was included in the leak:

  • Cosmic Reaver Master Yi
  • Pulsefire Caitlyn
  • Star Guardian Ezreal

  • Star Guardian Syndra

  • Darkstar Kha’Zix
  • Darkstar Orianna
  • Angelblade Riven

  • Demonblade Yasuo

  • Omegasquadย Veigar

  • Omegasquadย Fizz

  • Omegasquadย Twitch

The Darkstarย skins, Cosmic Reaverย Master Yi, Rivenย and Yasuo’sย skins, and even Pulsefireย Caitlynย have already made their way into the store so far. Pulsefireย Caitlynย was the one that many felt would surely not be made, but the leak was provenย accurate once again when the skin’s teasers began rolling out. All that’s left from this list is more Omegasquadย skins for the Yordlesย and two more Star Guardian skins, neither of which is Star Guardian Urgot, much to players’ disappointment.

The Doubtful Content

As mentioned previously, following the first leak that came out that include the four main reworks, Xayah, Rakan, and many confirmed skins, a second followed that didn’t look quite as promising. This leak had some similarities to the first one, but many players called it out for riding off of the success of the first one and only tweaking details to seem like new information.

Regardless, the follow-up leak still had some interesting concepts in it such as the storm-wielding monk champion that still has yet to be remotely hinted at. The reworks of Urgot and Evelynn were mentioned there as well, but here are some of the skins that the leak claimed are coming:

  • Program Heimerdinger
  • Program Elise
  • Program Kalista
  • Master Arcanistย Vladimir
  • Nanotechย Zac
  • Arcade Yorick
  • Secret Boss Viktor
  • Elderwood Blitzcrank
  • Pool Party Illaoi
  • Pool Party Ahri
  • Pool Party Gragas
  • Pool Party Bard
  • Pool Party Sivir
  • Piltover Customs Rumble

More Pool Party skins are probably the additions that many players would look forward to, but sadly, this list isn’t really coming together. There’s a lot of content here though, so there’s still a chance that some of the ideas could come to fruition later on, even if the leaker had no confirmed knowledge of them at the time.
