After quite a few rounds of suggestions from League of Legends players and, more recently, some confirmation on the requests by Riot Games, a ping has now been enabled on League's PBE testing zone that'll allow players to let their teammates know when an enemy has vision in a certain area.

If you've grown accustomed to your ping wheel that's already in place, you'll be happy to hear that this new ping won't be replacing any of your old favorites – especially the "Missing Enemy" ping that's used much more often as a "what are you doing" ping. This new ping can be enabled via the in-game options and bound to a key of your choice so that you can use it seamlessly with the other pinging notifications. The option to do so can be seen below, courtesy of a post that a user made on Reddit to provide examples of how to enable the ping and what it currently looks like.

To enable the ping, it's as simple as going through the options to the hotkeys section and finally into the communication category. Here, you can bind the new ping, but you won't be able to replace any of the current ping wheel options at this time as Riot has stated in the past that they plan to keep the ping wheel as is.

The ping itself is simple enough being just a red eye combined with a downward arrow to indicate exactly where the enemy has vision. The ping can be seen in action below with a pretty distinct design from other pings so that you can immediately differentiate it from the others.

While some players would likely hope to be able to rebind it to the ping wheel, having the option to ping where an enemy has vision is most certainly better than not having the option as well. Previously, players would like use a "Danger" ping or a different substitute to warn their team, but doing so could easily be misconstrued for multiple meanings.

The ping has the same appearance that the early development model had, so we can likely expect this to be the final version of the ping that should hopefully ship with the next patch.
