For Friday the 13th: The Game players who find themselves trying to play the game on the Xbox One, it’s easy to think that you might be frustrated with the delay of patches that would bring the game up to speed with both the PC and the PlayStation 4 versions. While the team behind the game has been quiet for a while on social media, they recently put out a very brief update to discuss what they’ve got in the works.

After a user on Twitter called out the game due to an apparent lack of communication about updates and patches to the different console versions, the tweet received a response from the game that clarified that they are indeed still working on the game and have been quite preoccupied with the work as of late, hence the lack of communication.

Just after that reply, the same response was tweeted from the account to reach more users who might’ve been wondering what the deal is with the Xbox One version. Since the game’s release, the Xbox One has played host to several setbacks due to some patches that weren’t able to receive certification coupled with Microsoft’s more involved verification process when it comes to updates. Issues that users have faced include disconnects, perks not working correctly, and the ever-popular glitches that many players use to avoid Jason by getting on top of houses or other similar areas that would be otherwise inaccessible through normal gameplay.

While the first part of the tweet would be reassuring for Xbox One players, the latter half should be welcome news for players across platforms. Working on additional content is something that many players have been asking about as well, requesting more maps, single-player content, and perhaps even a new killer, and the fact that they’re working on it and are also going to San Diego Comic Con might be an indicator that news of this content will be shared during the event where many companies go to share announcements about upcoming projects.

It’s also been said by the co-creator of the game that those employees attending Comic Con aren’t the ones working directly on the issues within the game itself.

Comic Con is currently underway with the game’s team set up in a booth giving out some free gear, so news regarding Friday the 13th: The Game’s upcoming DLC coming soon is a very real possibility.
