The Nintendo Switch lets you take your game anywhere, but chances are you don’t really take full advantage of that feature. Where have you played your Switch? In bed? On the bus? In the car? Hopefully you’ve kept it off the toilet, because that’s just unsanitary – I don’t care if Nintendo endorses the practice. Mine’s never left the house, and it mostly stays snuggled in its warm, protective cradle. Well, maybe this crazy video will convince you to get a little more adventurous with your Switch.

The video, from Russian YouTube channel Юзя (don’t ask me how to pronounce that), feels like an official Nintendo ad, except it’s cooler than any ad Nintendo has done so far. We see multiple first-person shots of a mysterious man playing Switch in various interesting locations, including a rooftop, the woods, and thousands of feet above the ground. Yes, these guys take their Switch skydiving, and you better believe Link is gliding in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild while they do it. It’s possible they faked that, but I don’t care, it’s a great gag.
Oh, also, the video contains weird stuff involving bananas, guys acting like monkeys, and a menacing man in a yellow bodysuit and helmet. I’m not sure what’s up with any of that, but it doesn’t detract for the overall production. I’m, uh, sure it all makes perfect sense if you’re Russian.
Nintendo ought to take a note from this video. I’d certainly love to see a series of official Nintendo ads featuring real people taking their Switches crazy places. Maybe I’ll get inspired and actually take mine out of the living room one of these days!
