Shortly following the release of a new Rainbow Six Siege trailer that gave a first full look at the game's new operators, Finka and Lion had both of their kits detailed by Ubisoft.

While it's common for new operators to be split between attackers and defenders when released in pairs, one usually being released for each side, both of these operators are actually attackers. Finka uses nanobot technology to support her team while Lion utilizes a drone to survey an area and detect movement with both operators utilizing a range of equipment and weapons, all of which are detailed below.

Finka

  • PRIMARY:
    • Spear .308
    • SASG-12
    • 6P41
  • SECONDARY:
    • PMM Pistol
    • GSH-18
  • GADGET
    • Breach Charge
    • Stun Grenade
  • SPEED: Medium
  • ARMOR: Medium
  • EQUIPMENT: Finka delivers a nanobot shot to each operator before an operation. The nanites are made of zinc with the pharmacological cocktail laced into the nanobot's construction. When she activates her signal, the nanobots disintegrate with the zinc being treated as a nutrient by the body and facilitating the absorption of the drugs. The operators receive a short boost of health to get them back on their feet, to give them an extra push, and to steady their aim.

Lion

  • PRIMARY:
    • V308
    • 417 Marksman Rifle
    • SG-CQB
  • SECONDARY:
    • P9 Pistol
    • LFP586
  • GADGET
    • Claymore
    • Stun Grenade
  • SPEED: Medium
  • ARMOR: Medium
  • EQUIPMENT: EE-One-D allows Lion to survey hot zones and maintain quarantine protocols on missions. He uses it to detect movement in an area in order to determine if someone is breaking quarantine, curfew, or a perimeter.

But these two new operators are just one part of the Operation Chimera event that's starting soon. An atypical event for Rainbow Six Siege that offers something a bit different from the tactical, realistic shooter, Operation Chimera will be bringing a special game mode called Outbreak that pits operators against monsters of all things. Players will organize teams of three to fend off monsters of varying forms, each of them with their own unique strengths and abilities.

Outbreak officially begins on March 6, so look for more information about the event and the two new operators closer to that time.
