Yesterday marked the official worldwide release of Uta no Prince-sama: Shining Live!, a new Japanese idol game from the developers of Love Live! School Idol, KLab. The game features 11 different group members for players to interact with and assist on stage, as well as a storyline for each member and a full soundtrack of songs for the player to perfect. Uta no Prince-sama is free to download with in-game purchases. If you're not familiar with the franchise, this one began as a visual novel series, which led to manga and anime adaptations, along with various original soundtracks and now the new mobile game. The game seems to pattern close to Love Live, putting the character in charge of training the group and earning points in order to put on a great performance. Here's everything that's included, along with a short summary for new players:

The game directs back at its visual novel roots by hinting at "something special" popping up on the player's home screen when they reach a certain level of bonding with the different members available in the game.
