Doctor Strange Has Battle Scars In New Photo

Marvel Studios has released a new photo from Doctor Strange that shows the Sorcerer Supreme looking a little worse for wear.

The new photo features Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Stephen Strange, with his lip and his face bloodied. Looks like things got ugly for Strange in a fight. We should wonder what the other guy looks like.

As we draw closer to the theatrical debut of Doctor Strange, more and more news and rumors begin to surface. One rumor suggests that another Marvel universe Sorcerer Supreme, Brother Voodoo, will appear in the film, a theory backed by Voodoo’s brother appearing in the film’s prequel comic book. We also know that Dan Harmon wrote some last minute scenes for the film, possibly including a major battle scene. Looking ahead, set photos suggest that Thor: Ragnarok may swing by Doctor Strange’s home, the Sanctum Sanctorum.

Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.

Marvel’s Doctor Strange stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg, Benjamin Bratt, Scott Adkins, Mads Mikkelsen and Tilda Swinton.
