It seems as though Marvel movie fans have even more reason to be excited by a recent report that Thor: Ragnarok will be featuring a scene set in NYC, as that particular scene may feature a cameo by a new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Needless to say, do not read on because a POTENTIAL SPOILER is about to get dropped.

An additional set photo fromThor: Ragnarok shows our hero in New York City looking for a particular address: "177A Bleecker St.", aka Doctor Strange's home, The Santcum Santorum.
Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) will be established part of the MCU by the time Thor 3 hits theaters; Strange's solo film hits theaters this November, while Thor: Ragnarok arrives a year later in fall 2017. The two films between them are Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming; Spider-Man is already rumored to appear in Strange's movie (or is it vice versa?) but it seems like in Thor: Ragnarok, The Sorcerer Supreme could have a more pivotal role to play in cosmic events.
Our earlier report speculated that Thor could be on Earth searching for a displaced Odin; having Doctor Strange's help as a sort of mystical detective could very well fit within that scenario.
Doctor Strange arrives November 4, 2016; Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – May 5, 2017; Spider-Man: Homecoming – July 7, 2017; Thor: Ragnarok – November 3, 2017; Black Panther – February 16, 2018; Avengers: Infinity War – May 4, 2018; Ant-Man and the Wasp – July 6, 2018; Captain Marvel– March 8, 2019; Avengers 4 – May 3, 2019; and as-yet untitled Marvel movies on July 12, 2019, and on May 1, July 10, and November 6 in 2020.
