It goes without saying that the Marvel series on Netflix are a major hit for the streaming service. And though many fans responded negatively to one of the shows, new stats reveal it was actually one of their best performing titles.

Iron Fist has received a critical drubbing ever since its premiere earlier this year, but it was actually the second-most streamed Marvel title on Netflix in the first 30 days of after debut according to marketing analytics firm Jumpshot.

Netflix doesn’t release their streaming numbers to the public, but Jumpshot analyses the data of over 100 million Netflix users’ click-stream habits. For these numbers, they looked at United States users and used Daredevil Season Two as the bench mark.

None of the other Netflix Original Series performed as well as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, but with that as the benchmark it allowed Jumpshot to gauge how well other series were doing.

13 Reasons Why took the second spot with 48% of Daredevil Season Two viewers in its first 30 days.

Iron Fist sat in the third-place spot with 28% of Daredevil‘s viewers. Luke Cage and Jessica Jones were behind in fourth and fifth respectively with just over %25 percent.

So the critical complaints Iron Fist received upon its debut didn’t do much to hurt its viability on the streaming service, according to Jumpshot’s analytics. Of course these numbers might not be accurate, as Netflix loves to say, though until they release their own numbers its all we have to go off of.

Despite the success of the series, the criticisms of the series might have directed its future. Raven Metzner, the former executive producer of Sleepy Hollow, is taking the reins from Scott Buck for the second season of Iron Fist, which will likely herald a new direction.

โ€จHopefully the series, and lead actor Finn Jones, are given enough prep time ahead of production to improve the aspects that many found lacking in Iron Fist Season One.

Finn Jones portrayal of Danny Rand can now be seen on The Defenders, currently streaming on Netflix.

Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal โ€“ to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.
