Krysten Ritter might play one of the toughest female characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but she had a pretty harrowing experience while playing Jessica Jones.

In a recent interview with Women's Health, Ritter recalled one instance where she passed out on the set of Jessica Jones' second season. According to Ritter, the ordeal occurred when she accidentally got punched in the face during a scene, causing her to nearly bite through her tongue.

"I saw the blood everywhere," Ritter explained, "and I panicked."

But in the time since that happened in July, Ritter has a much more optimistic view of what happened - even as the crew still teases her about it.

"They said, 'Oh, Krysten, you looked like this!'" Ritter said, before fluttering her eyes.

With season two of Jessica Jones officially in the can, fans won't have to wait too long to see Ritter in action again - and possibly see the stunt that caused her to pass out in the first place. The season is set to be released in 2018, and recently debuted an awesome new poster during New York Comic Con.

When Jessica Jones does return, the titular hero will be facing some new challenges, as she deals with her newfound fame amongst those in Hell's Kitchen.

"She keeps her circle small because she doesn't want people in her life," Ritter said in a recent interview, "so there's no textbook on how to deal with new popularity or eyes on you."

Jessica Jones season two will debut on Netflix in 2018.
