When Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters, cinemas all over the world will be inundated with superheroes. Seriously, the highly anticipated film will team up the Avengers with the Guardians of the Galaxy - and that's only the start. With so many characters slated to star in the movie, fans are wondering how Marvel Studios is handling the massive cast. And, earlier today, Kevin Feige commented on how they are juggling so many characters.

"Well it's about the screenplay and Chris Markus and Steve McFeely — out of everyone we've worked with — have a very deft hand with balance," he said. There are a lot of characters in [the first] Captain America; there are a lot of characters in The Winter Soldier, and of course Civil War has as many as we've ever had, so it's in very capable hands [when] it comes to divvying up the storylines in a way that services a primary narrative but [also] showcases many characters."

The president of Marvel Studios also commented on how often fans will see the entire roster of Infinity War band together. As fans expected, those ensemble scenes will be few and far betwee.

"How many times will all 30, 50, 60 whatever it is be in the frame at the same time? That is the hard part," Feige explained before adding there won't be "much" of those moments.

During his interview with Collider, Feige was also asked whether Spider-Man would appear in Infinity War. After all, Tom Holland did just wrap his work as Peter Parker on Spider-Man: Homecoming, leaving the actor wide open to film a few scenes for the upcoming blockbuster. However, Feige remained tight-lipped about the hero's appearance.

"It is I would say that is part of the surprise. I don't want to spoil anything one way or another," he hedged.

Of course, this isn't the first time that higher-ups at Marvel Studios have been asked about Infinity War and its blossoming cast. IGN interviewed screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely about the film, and the pair said they were managing characters story-by-story.

"When outlining it we certainly had those conversations. I mean in the same way, that in Civil War not everyone has the same amount of scenes or lines, I think you can assume that with so many characters we'll have to be as rigorous right? Where we say well these people will have sort of larger stories and these people will have smaller stories, and hopefully, they can flip in some cases. I know a few right off the top of my head that have a small part here and bigger part here."

Markus also chimed in to say, "Yeah, the people in the background in one will come to the foreground in the second one. You know there will be moments where every last damn person who is still alive will be in the same room, and those are just a nightmare to write because Marvel, being very good about hiring very good actors who like, the 15th person there has two Oscars, and it's like oh my god. So yeah, it's crazy."

So, when Infinity War does suit up, fans can expect to see a litany of heroes on the big screen. From Star-Lord to Iron Man and perhaps Captain Marvel, it looks like Marvel's third Avengers flick has a lot to live up to.

Guardian's of the Galaxy Vol. 2 releases on May 5, 2017. Thor: Ragnarok will follow on November 3, 2017. The Avengers: Infinity War movies recently began production in Atlanta and are set for release in 2018 and 2019.
