Hugh Jackman’s final performance as Wolverine tore up the box office competition in its opening weekend. Logan opened to a huge $85.3 million box office take over its first three days, making it the biggest opening of 2017 so far. This success for the R-Rated X-Men movie combined with the even larger success of Deadpool last year seems to prove that there is a significant audience for R-rated superhero material.
