Holland has shown some particularly altruistic charm while doing his benevolent duty. Like other Marvel Cinematic Universe stars before him (Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Pratt), Holland truly seems to respect the mantle of the Spider-Man character, and its power to bring comfort and joy to those facing some of the toughest life circumstances.

With all the impassioned debates and/or trolling that occurs online when it comes to superhero movies, we sometimes forget that these same films (however they adapt the characters, who plays the roles) have the power to actually affect lives in a meaningful and important way. Seeing Holland brighten up those kids’ worlds is endearing, but also bittersweet, as it reminds us that there is much more important stuff happening around us – and that a little positive spirit can go a long way.
