Crystal Cruz and Brandon Vezmar became the subject of the public eye after Vezmar filed a suit in the small claims court against Cruz for $17.31, the price of admission to a 3-D screening of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Inside Edition brought the not-couple together for the first time since their epic fail of a first date to settle the score outside of court.

“The date just didn’t work out and I would love to give you your $17.31 if you can just leave this alone,” Cruz told Vezmar as they stood outside the movie theater where it all began.

Vezmar accepted the apology and agreed to withdraw his suit. “It’s settled, man,” Vezmar said. “Time to withdraw this court case, absolutely.” Still, no word on whether or not they will have a second date.

“I texted him back, ‘This is insane. I’m not paying you back for the date,’” Cruz said. “I laughed it off because I didn’t believe that it would come to this.”

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has quickly become a global phenomenon, racing past $500 million globally within a few weeks release.

After the massively successful Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2‘s box office opening, Marvel Studios‘ next film is Spider-Man: Homecoming opening in theaters July 7. Thor: Ragnarok follows on November 3, then Black Panther on February 16, 2018.

All roads lead to the biggest superhero team up in MCU history when Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters May 4, 2018.
