Part of the Fast and Furious series’ appeal is the vehicular mayhem that is onscreen at any given time. Cars leaping off of buildings, through windows, and as in Fast and Furious 7’s case, through a window across to another building. Needless to say, that kind of activity will rack up an impressive bill, but impressive doesn’t even begin to cover it.

The crew over at Insure the Gap decided to take it upon themselves to figure out exactly what that total would be and decided to sit through over 13 hours of film to catalog it. Together with classic car expert Nacho Llacer, they arrived at a pretty significant number. It translates to over 419,446,914. In USD that is over $526,000,000 worth of damage, but things get even more fascinating once you factor in what they’re damaging.
142 regular cars have been destroyed, along with 31 buildings. Combined with other factors 432 total items have been damaged, and ironically most of the damage has been caused by the heroes, though that might not come as a shock. No individual could even come close to the damage Jason Statham caused, though. While each film has steadily grown in damage caused, it wasn’t until Fast 5 that things really started progressing, with Fast and Furious 6 and 7 causing the most millions in damage.
