The Alien franchise is coming back to theatres on April 26th, and to celebrate the event Twentieth Century Fox has announced a 24-hour celebration of all things Alien.

Alien Day 426, titled so after planet LV-426, will include a multitude of limited edition products, including new figures by NECA (Lieutenant Vasquez and Newt) and new items from Funko (Alien Queen and Power Loader with Ripley). Dark Horse is also getting involved with new variants for their upcoming Aliens ongoing, and a deluxe 30th-anniversary hardcover edition of the original 1986 Aliens series. Titan Books is launching a new novel titled Alien: Invasion and Audible also has a new audio book titled Alien: Out of the Shadows.
Fox has also teamed with Reebok to release limited editions of the Alien Stomper worn by Sigourney Weaver in the film, as well as the shoes work by Lance Henrikson. The shoes will be available on the 26th as well. If you fancy yourself an Aliens aficionado you can participate in the Alien Day trivia Twitter contest, which will take place throughout the day, giving various prizes to the winners. At the heart of the event are the screenings of both the original Alien and Aliens. The films will be shown at various Alamo Drafthouses around the country, and you can grab some exclusive items after the event courtesy of Mondo.
