Five months ago, YouTuber user Patrick (H) Willems rocketed to internet fame when his "What If Wes Anderson Directed X-Men?" fan-film went viral. He's back with another comic book movie parody, but this time he's asking: "What If Werner Herzog Directed Ant-Man?"

To answer that question, it means stripping away the Hollywood special effects and the over-top-action sequences, so that the viewer is left with an Ant-Man (played by Jacob Torpey) that ponders his own existence. No Herzog film would be complete without the German filmmakers (spot-on impression by Scott Thomas) soothing yet powerful voice that narrates each word with care.

Check it out in the video below.

Marvel's Ant-Man - Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
