Looks like Cobb County's Finest is about to join the ranks of Sting and the Godfather this year as WWE has announced the Big Boss Man is to be inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Ray Traylor, Jr had wrestled for Jim Crockett Promotions and the Universal Wrestling Federation as "Big Bubba Rogers", Crockett's silent bodyguard before joining the WWE in the late 80's to become the character he would play for more than a decade.

The Big Boss Man started out as a correctional officer telling his opponents they're "about to serve hard time" and was known to use a police officer's nightstick to cheat his way into a victory. He briefly returned to WCW in the mid-90's as the Big Bubba gimmick, only to return as the Boss Man in 98 as part of Mr. McMahon's Corporation as part of his security team. No longer in the blue formal attire of a police officer, but now donning black riot gear, but still just as lethal with that nightstick.

Boss Man had won the Hardcore Title on four separate occasions and the Tag Team Championship once with Ken Shamrock. His biggest push came in 1999 in a WWF Championship match with Big Show which involved the act of him interrupting the ceremony.

Traylor took to Japan after leaving the WWE in 2003, shortly before his death in 2004. Big Boss Man was one of the biggest heels of the 90's, having a brief face run before going back to WCW. He's one of the most recognizable faces in the industry and one of the most famous gimmicks of the Rock n' Wrestling Generation.
