Last month, Titan Comics welcomed a new series to its ever-growing list. The first issue of Triggerman debuted to eager readers, and Walter Hill was the man behind it all. The writer co-created the series alongside French comic Matz, and it tells a gritty Westernized story of murder, mayhem, and money. Hill, who is a filmmaker and writer, recently did some press to promote his new comic - and the director said he might make a film adaptation of Triggerman some day.

Hill said he is in the middle of several projects right now, but "Triggerman is certainly on the table." The writer explained he is trying to figure out what he wants to pursue next.

Of course, a Triggerman film wouldn't be the first under Hill's watchful eye. The filmmaker is a noted director who's resume includes plenty of Westerns. Hill started out in Hollywood making historical documentaries before he moved onto screenwriting and directing. His directorial debut was seen in 1975 with Hard Times, and Hill then made his producer premiere in Alien (1979).

In fact, Hill has worked on most of the Alien films with the most recent being 2017's Alien: Covenant. As of late, fans will know Hill from his work on last year's (RE) Assignment.

Released in 2016, (RE) Assignment tells the story of Frank Kitchen who undergoes a forced sex reassignment surgery to become a woman. Hill drafted the first script in 1978, and he optioned the script for 10 years before he finally met an producer interested in adapting it onto film. While the movie did receive favorable reviews, the transgender community largely boycotted the movie.

The director responded to the controversy. "I wouldn't make a movie that hurt transgender people," Hill said. "Some of them have had a tough time of it, and the last thing I want to do is make anyone's road harder. But look, I understand the concern. Is it lurid? Yes. Is it lowbrow? Well, maybe. Is it offensive? No. I'm just trying to honor the B movies that we grew up with."
