CapeTown

With comic book movies ruling the box office and comic book TV shows ruling the airwaves, everybody seems to be getting more into comic book culture. Earlier this week, Entertainment Weekly launched a new section on EW.com called CapeTown, which will cover superheroes, sci-fi, fantasy, and horror. According to an email sent out by Entertainment Weekly, the section will focus "on the geekier side of pop culture." Even though the name might at first make you think it's a section about a city in South Africa, it's actually a reference to caped superheroes. According to MinOnline.com, CapeTown will have exclusive content, such as an interview with Robert Downey Jr. about Iron Man 3 and an interview with Scott Snyder about the Joker. CapeTown is being lead by Geoff Boucher, who joined EW from the Los Angeles Times. EW is also planning a film and television festival that Capetown will do with American Cinematheque at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles.
