Goodbye Hulu Plus, long live Hulu Commercial Free.

Hulu Plus has officially been de-branded, with every level of the service now simply called "Hulu." What's more, a new, third tier has been added to the mix, offering what fans have long clamored for, a commercial free service - well, almost.

Anyone can still go to Hulu.com on their computers to watch for free. The $7.99 tier formerly known as "Hulu Plus" lets you access more episodes, and stream them on your television via devices like the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or Roku, with "limited commercials." The new tier runs $11.99 and offers full commercial free episodes for most shows (and also lets you stream all these, and the full library, via those same devices).

Aside from the $4 extra price, there are exceptions to the commercial free rule, including a couple of genre shows near and dear to our readership's hearts. Grey's Anatomy, Once Upon A Time, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Scandal, Grimm, New Girl, and How To Get Away With Murder will all still have commercials, no matter for which tier you pay. Premium shows only available with a linked account to your pay TV service (like USA's Suits) will also still have commercials. Hulu is careful to say that "those shows may change," meaning it could grow or shrink as things continue on.

Existing Hulu subscribers can bump up to the plan with a couple of clicks, and new subscribers will have the opportunity to choose either of the two tiers.
