Ask most people if they would like to become a professional actor and they will reply “Yes!” in a heartbeat. What many people don’t consider, is that most actors no matter how talented they are do not know where their next paycheck will come from. That is why many feature film stars gradually move into television hoping they can land a role in a television series that will catch on for years to come. Stability!

That is why the Avengers: Age Of Ultron actor Paul Bettany is very happy knowing Marvel has future plans already mapped out for his new role as the green android known as Vision. “That’s the really great thing about the Marvel gig for me,”Bettany told News Australia (via CBM). “I have never known if I have had a job six months out ever in my life. And now I know that they have plans and I can be even more judicious about the stuff that I do outside of that work. I can wait for the right thing and feel really attached to it.”

Bettany has been apart of the Marvel cinematic universe ever since the first Iron Man film. He provided the voice for Tony Stark’s A.I. butler, who is known as JARVIS. Funny enough, Bettany revealed in the past that he has never watched any of the Marvel films he has lent his voice to. To prepare for Vision he felt compelled to finally see them. “My research was watching all of the films,” he explained. “I realised they are so interlinked and I wanted to understand the universe I was in. So I did and it was a really amazing, fun experience.”

Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters May 1, 2015.
