Seth Gilliam will join the cast of The Walking Dead in the show's fifth season, according to Deadline. Gilliam is known for his roles in The Wire, Starship Troopers, and Courage Under Fire. More recently he has been playing Dr. Alan Deaton in Teen Wolf. Gilliam's character is being kept under wraps, but is currently being referred to as "Michael Todd." The characters is said to have a friendly and humorous demeanor that masks the fact that he is plagued by a dark secret. Gilliam is expected to continue his recurring role on Teen Wolf while filming The Walking Dead.
