The punishing yet rewarding Dark Souls series is just about ready to unleash it's third entry upon gamers all over the world, but for fans of the tabletop, you too will get to dabble in Bandai Namco's storied series.
Steamforged Games LTD, makers of the well-received medieval football miniatures game Guildball, announced today that they are working with Bandai Namco on a new Board Game version of Dark Souls. The tactical combat and exploratory nature of the Dark Souls world actually lend themselves pretty well to a tabletop recreation.
Steamforged shared this on their page along with the announcement.
"As Dark Souls fans, we could not be more excited to be given the honour of developing a board game that embraces everything that makes Dark Souls the deep, compelling game experience that it is."
The game will be launched as a Kickstarter project sometime later this month.
