Two of the gaming's biggest fighting game franchises are about to cross over. Street Fighter big bad Akuma is making his way into Tekken 7 with the arcade game's Fated Retribution update.

Akuma was revealed in a trailer during The King of Iron Fist 2015 tournament finals this past weekend. In the trailer, Akuma is revealed to be the mysterious figure that, in an earlier trailer, Kazumi was imploring to kill her husband and the Tekken franchise's central character, Heihachi Mishima, should she fail. Akuma agrees, implying that he's doing so as repayment for a debt he owes Kazumi.

Bandai Namco also released a new poster for the game, featuring both Akuma and Heihachi.

Interesting that Akuma is making his way to Tekken 7, but still hasn't been announced for Street Fighter V.

The game is currently only playable in Japanese arcades, but Bandai Namco has announced plans to Tekken 7 game to the PlaySation 4.
