The X Files Home

According to TVLine, the second episode of the forthcoming The X-Files revival will serve as a direct sequel to the events of a fan-favorite episode from nearly twenty years ago.

"Home Again," the reported second episode of the 2016 series, will follow up on the world established in "Home," the second episode of Season Four back in 1996.

In the original episode, widely regarded one of the creepiest of the series, Agents Scully and Mulder encounter a family of inbred, animal-like brothers living on a farm in a remote section of Pennsylvania.

Glen Morgan, who co-wrote the original "Home," is set to direct "Home Again," the report claims, and it will introduce a grotesque and compelling new freak of the week, "Band-Aid Nose Man." Described as intimidating, odd, weary, creepy and immeasurably strong, the character is described as a powerful, violent and frightening "thought" come to life.

The episode is set to air in January 2016.
