The quality of these fan films is starting to rival movies with multimillion dollar budgets. Take AndrewMFilms newest short film Portal vs Half-Life, which pits Half Life protagonist Gordon Freeman (Seth McMurry) against Portal heroine Chell (Cymber Browder). Their purpose?

To get that ooegy gooey chocolate cake.

I get it. I mean some people fight over sports, some over politics. Me? Cake. Well, chicken really, but cake is good too.

The short is fantastic, and has several great moments, including the fact that evidently Gordon has just stopped using silverware to eat his food and just goes with his trusty crowbar. Likewise Chell using her portal gun to direct the turret towards Gordon is a genuinely cool moment. Having Gordon stop to crush all the crates was another nice nod. He just can't help himself.
