James Wan’s The Conjuring helped establish himself as one of the best directors in horror while also giving the 2010s one of its best haunted house movies. The film focused on a family’s supernatural sightings, but the film opened with a memorable sequence with a supposedly haunted doll, named “Annabelle.” The events and doll itself were based on true events, and the Annabelle doll is a real item, which you can see during a very special live Facebook event tonight, Wednesday, February 22.

The actual doll looks a little bit different than it did in the movie, which portrayed Annabelle as a porcelain doll despite the real one being a Raggedy Ann doll.

Ed and Lorraine Warren were real paranormal investigators who lived in Connecticut who turned their home into a museum of the supernatural. They collected supposedly haunted relics from around the country, providing the items a safe space to exist where they wouldn’t bother unsuspecting victims.
Visits and tours used to be available for the Warren Occult Museum, but due to zoning regulation, the facility has been closed to the public.
Luckily, a very special Facebook Live event will take you inside the museum as it’s necessary to relocate Annabelle and some other items from the current locations into new areas of the space, giving you a glimpse at the terrifying doll.
Considering the real Annabelle doll has spent most of its time at the Warren’s residence inside a glass cabinet with a sign on it that reads “WARNING: Positively Do No Open,” tonight marks a very special occasion for anyone interested in the paranormal or any fan of the Conjuring films.
You can watch the event at www.facebook.com/abovetherealm.dan starting at 6:30 PM ET.
Do you think Annabelle is actually haunted or do you think the events surrounding the doll were merely a coincidence? Let us know in the comments!
