Orlando Police have just revealed the name of the suspect in the fatal shooting of singer and former The Voice contestant Christina Grimmie.

Earlier today, Orlando Police Chief John Mina initially described the suspect as a 21-year-old white male, but Orlando Police later clarified the suspect was 27 years old. It was also revealed that the suspect traveled to Orlando from another city in Florida to carry out the shooting. The suspect was armed with two handguns and a hunting knife.

Orlando Police have now named the suspect as Kevin James Loibl, born on March 10th, 1989, and from St. Petersburg, Florida. So far the police haven't announced any further details, but they did tweet out his picture.

According to the initial Orlando Police report, detectives were told the suspect walked toward Christina and shot her. The suspect was then tackled by Christina's brother. During the struggle, the suspect shot and killed himself.

Christina first became known as a singer through her popularity on YouTube. In 2014, Christina appeared on NBC's reality TV show The Voice, finishing third in the competition.
