BOOM! Studios has already released the first two volumes in trade format, but now they’re going one better and releasing the first year of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in one supersized book. The deluxe hardcover edition will include 500 pages of content in oversized form, with Tommy Oliver’s Green Ranger gracing the cover. You can pre-order it right now on Amazon.
In addition to the first year of stories, the deluxe edition will also include a new story by Kyle Higgins and artist Daniel Bayliss, which should excite fans of the current run. The backup Bulk and Skull stories can also be seen in their entirety in this collection, which will also include a cover gallery and character designs.
Since he does grace the cover, it only makes sense to have the original Green Ranger included. Green Ranger Jason David Frank will pen the deluxe edition’s forward, a nice nod to fans of the original series.
It’s quite the impressive collection, and the good news is that it should arrive in time for Christmas, as it is currently pegged to ship out in October. You can view the issue’s official description below.

This 500-page hardcover also contains a foreword by original Green Ranger Jason David Frank, a brand-new story by series writer Kyle Higgins and artist Daniel Bayliss, the complete “The Ongoing Adventures of Bulk & Skull” story, cover gallery, and never-before-seen character designs.
Big things are planned for the series moving forward , as Kyle Higgins and artist Daniele Di Nicuolo are taking things back to 1969. Details are hazy at the moment, but fans will get to meet the Power Rangers of the 1960’s, who managed to stop a secret attack on the moon. Who are these Rangers, and do they have any relation to the current team?
Those are all questions that will start to be answered in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #20, which also hits stores in October.
