Talks of a fourth Star Trek reboot film have been happening for quite some time, with audiences unsure when the project will see the light of day. But for one member of the film's cast, any chance to return to the franchise will be welcomed.
Karl Urban, who portrays Leonard 'Bones' McCoy in the films, recently spoke to ScreenRant about the possibility of a fourth Trek film. While he did not have any information on the project, he revealed that he will gladly be a part of it.
"If Paramount greenlights a fourth movie for us," Urban explained, "I’ll be there. I love working with those guys and you know the fans love those characters. Yeah. It’d be a blast."
Urban isn't the only member of Trek's cast anticipating news about the fourth film, with Zachary Quinto - who plays Spock in the franchise - recently voicing similar 'no news is good news' optimism.
The fourth Star Trek reboot movie was announced in 2016, but that was before Star Trek Beyond’s disappointing box office total was tallied. Star Trek Beyond opened $59.2 million, over $10 million less than Star Trek Into Darkness, and earned a total of $158.8 million during its domestic theatrical run, nearly $100 million less than the first Star Trek reboot movie in 2009.
Star Trek 4 was said to feature the return of Chris Hemsworth as the father of Captain James T. Kirk.
Star Trek Beyond currently has a 76.94 ComicBook.com Composite Score and a 4.04 ComicBook.com User Rating. Once you've streamed the movie on Hulu or Amazon Prime, be sure to come back and give Star Trek Beyond your own personal ComicBook.com User Rating below.

Left stranded in a rugged wilderness, Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto) and the rest of the crew must now battle a deadly alien race while trying to find a way off their hostile planet.
Star Trek Beyond was directed by Justin Lin from a screenplay by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung, inspired by Star Trek: The Original Series, which was created by Gene Roddenberry.
