Exclusive Chewbacca Mom Action Figure Says 13 Catchphrases

When Hasbro announced earlier this week that it has created a one-of-a-kind action figure for Candace Payne, better known as Chewbacca Mom, the internet had lots to say about the toy. And, in fact, it looks like the action figure has a lot to say itself as Entertainment Weekly reports the toy comes complete with 13 catchphrases.

Basking in her status as a bonafide internet star, Payne visited Hasbro’s headquarters earlier in the week and was presented with the exclusive toy by Hasbro Chief Executive Officer Brian Goldner. The toy, which is based off Payne’s widely viewed Facebook Live video, looks like it’s a normal Chewbacca toy. However, the figure’s head can be removed like a mask to reveal a head modeled after Payne’s appearance.

As for the toy’s vocals, a representative confirmed that the figure has 13 catchphrases which include, “That’s not me making that noise, it’s the mask,” “I am such a happy Chewbacca,” and her signature laugh. With over 157 million views to-date, Payne’s viral Facebook video is by far the most viewed live video streamed on the site, and its popularity continues to reap benefits for Payne.

Given her video’s virality, Payne and her family have received tons of swanky gifts as a result of her popularity. Just for starters, she has received Star Wars merchandise by the truckload, has appeared on The Late Late Show With James Corden, met the legendary Stan Lee, and even been award college scholarships for her entire family.

Taking to Instagram following her time at Hasbro, Payne thanked the toy company for “literally” rolling out a red carpet for her arrival with her family. Hasbro, which originally produced the Chewbacca mask which helped rocket Payne into stardom, has had the mask sell out at several major retailers like Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, and Amazon amongst others as Star Wars fans have fought to buy the now-famous toy.

However, when it comes to Hasbro’s ‘Chewbacca Mom’ doll, fans shouldn’t expect to see it hit shelves anytime soon. For now, it appears as if the action figure is meant for Payne and for Payne only.
