While everyone’s excited to see Rick, Michonne, and other Alexandria members back on The Walking Dead, there’s still a mystery regarding the fan-favorite villain of the show. Negan was the focus of last week’s episode, bringing the laughs and surprises alongside Eugene and Dwight. That being said, all of those characters were absent from any of this week’s promotional materials.

It begs the question: Is Negan in tonight’s episode of The Walking Dead?
To be honest, it isn’t likely. The show may be trying to cut down on the solo episodes now that the group is back together, but they’re still going to happen occasionally. This is what we saw last week, so it’s unlikely we’ll see it again anytime soon.
Last week’s episode, ‘Hostiles And Calamities‘, kept the attention on the events at Sanctuary. The episode didn’t necessarily end on a cliffhanger, but it left fans in a state of unease, thinking about what Eugene would do next.
The producers of the show want you to think about that for a while, letting the suspense build, so everyone will have to wait at least one more week.
The only chance we see Negan or Eugene tonight, is if they’re in the preview for next week’s episode.
Following Sunday’s new episode, executive producer of The Walking Dead and director of Say Yes, Greg Nicotero will join ComicBook.com’s live after show, After the Dead, for an exclusive interview recapping the episode and previewing the final four episodes of Season 7.
