Fans looking to binge The Walking Dead Season Seven prior to Season Eight’s mid-October launch are in luck as the latest batch of episodes is headed to Netflix.

Announced with Netflix’s official September lineup, The Walking Dead Season Seven will be available on the streaming service September 8th. The 16-episode run saw Negan bullying Alexandria and its surrounding communities to a point where they decided to rally against the Saviors.
The season is currently available on Blu-ray and DVD with bonus features which include a slew of deleted scenes and featurettes taking fans inside the show’s production and storytelling.
The season hosts the second most watched episode of The Walking Dead. The premiere episode, which aired on October 23, 2016, carried out Negan’s introduction and revealed the mystery identity of his victim first struck with the Lucille bat in the Season Six finale six months prior. 17 million people tuned in to find out Negan killed Abraham and Glenn, though nearly four million of those viewers wouldn’t stick around a week later.
Season Seven became a subject of controversy following the violent premiere, as Rick Grimes was emasculated and fan-favorite characters were scattered across locations and episodes. By the end of the season, however, the AMC series appeared to have found its groove when Rick’s Alexandria community found allies in the Hilltop and Kingdom groups to chase the Saviors out of town.
The Walking Dead‘s sibling series Fear the Walking Dead returns September 10th. The Walking Dead will return for its eighth season on October 22, 2017.
